Ava's First Day of Ballet!

Okay, it's finally time that I get back on the blogging bandwagon!! I have lots to catch up on, so hopefully this will be the kickstart that I need!! Ava started ballet Tuesday and it was quite possibly one of the cutest things I've ever seen.  All these tiny little girls in pink leotards were precious!! We only had a small window to look through, so all the pictures have a glare. Oh well, they're still cute!

Ava said she LOVED ballet and can't wait to go back! Tonight she starts "little tap and hip hop"! It should be interesting!!

6 months!

Little Miss is now 6 months old! She is growing so fast! I'm a little late doing her 6 month post because we were on vacation. Ally is in a really fun stage right now! She has discovered her voice and makes all kinds of funny noises (and yells)! My favorite is a little growl that she does! She rolls all over the place now and has her own version of army crawling. She puts her forehead on the floor, her hiney in the air, and pushes with her feet!! I really need to get a video of it because it's pretty funny! Sometimes it almost looks like she's about to do a somersault!

She is very much a Daddy's girl right now!! Whenever he walks in the room, she stares him down until he picks her up! Then, if he tries to put her down, she starts crying!! She LOVES him! (Can't say I blame her!)

Ally also started eating rice cereal! She did so well for her first time! As you can see by the pics, she was really into it!!

I just can't believe she's already half a year old!! She's such a fun and happy baby! I know I'm going to blink and we'll be planning her first birthday party!! We love you so much Ally Reese!!

5 Months!

Miss Ally Reese turned 5 months old yesterday!! She continues to be such a sweet and happy baby! She is still sleeping GREAT at night (10 to 11 hours), but starting to fight her naps during the day. I guess she doesn't want to miss out on anything! She eats about 5.5 ounces every three hours (sometimes sooner)! At her 4 month check-up (which was only 10 days ago. We're a little behind!) she weighed 15 pounds and was 26 inches long!! She might be our tall girl!! If so, she must get it from her Nana! She is starting to take A LOT of interest in Ava. She constantly watches her and anytime Ava talks to her, Ally just grins so big! They love each other so much already. So sweet to watch! I just saw her roll from her tummy to her back for the first time yesterday! She just changes so much everyday! Oh how we love you Ally Reese!

Ava's Birthday Party

If you know Ava, you know that she LOVES flowers! If we go anywhere and there is a flower bed, Ava begs to pick the flowers. So, it was only fitting to throw her a flower party for her 3rd birthday!! We had the party at Dynamo Gym so the kids could run around and play! We had a great turnout and I think the birthday girl had a blast!!

4 Months!

Miss Ally Reese is 4 months old today!! I can't believe how fast time is flying by!! I think it's because she's such a good baby!! She's so much like Ava was when she was little! So laid back all the time! She only fusses if she's hungry or tired. She eats 5 to 6 oz bottles every 3 hours and sleeps 9 to 10 hours at night!! She also takes 3 to 4 naps during the day! We are guesstimating her weight to be 14.5 to 15 pounds! She has the chunkiest thighs!! She started rolling from her back to her front about a week and a half ago (April 9th to be exact!!)! This week she has started grabbing her toes when she's lying on her back. She has also started imitating us when we do raspberries at her! We think teething is in the near future because she has been drooling and chewing on everything!! She is just the sweetest baby and always has a big grin for us anytime we talk to her!! She has a little bit of her momma in her, but she's looking more and more like her daddy and Ava everyday!! God sure blessed us with such a perfect gift!! We just love her to pieces!!

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY, AVA!!!

I CANNOT believe my precious girl is turning THREE today!!! The past 3 years have undoubtedly been the best 3 years of our lives! Ava, you are such a JOY to be around! Your personality is infectious! You never cease to make us smile and laugh! You have such a zest for life that makes everything we do with you SO FUN! You have such an amazing imagination and are always dressing up and pretending! You still have a "go with the flow" attitude! When you broke your arm and had to wear a cast for a month, you NEVER ONCE complained about it (not even at bathtime when we made you keep your arm out of the water!). It was like your cast was your little pink accessory!! Silly girl! You are also smart as a whip! You already know most of your letters and some letter sounds! You can also rhyme with the best of us! We always hear you walking around the house just making up words that rhyme!! Which reminds me, you also LOVE to sing and dance! You just learned to hula dance and it's probably one of the cutest things we've ever seen! You just adore all of your grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins (even pretending to BE them sometimes!). You are the best big sister to Ally too! You still love to kiss and hug her and make her smile! I cant forget to mention how funny you are too! The other day, I asked if you wanted a cookie and you said yes. Then, when I brought it to you, you looked at me and said "I have 2 hands Mommy" like I was supposed to bring you a cookie for each hand! Funny girl! We just couldn't ask for a better daughter!! We love you SO VERY much, Ava!! Happy 3rd Birthday sweet girl!!!
